So, there's this Dark Shadows website I frequent, and I get their newsletter that they print whenever they have an update. There was one sitting in my inbox today, so I read it, naturally. Two things caught my eye:

Not only is Frid the guest of honor, but SELBY IS GONNA BE THERE, TOO. Frid has been doing a lot more DS stuff lately. I think he's been going to the conventions since 2005? I know I went in 2004 and he wasn't there, and then the next year was his first convention since like 1990. But I'm fairly sure it's always been Frid OR Selby, and this one in Burbank will be the first with both of them there. SO WANT TO GO. Damn lack of money and Burbank being on the other side of the country! :P

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm pretty sure that NOW I'm even more pissed off! I WANT TO TAKE MY MOM TO ONE OF THEM, DAMN IT! I think it's pretty safe to say that she'd like to see them ONCE in person before they bite the dust. I'm POSITIVE she'd like to see Selby up-close. XD

Selby is awesome up-close. :D He was the only one my mom went out of her way to get an autograph from. :P

I hope they both go to next year's con in New York. Cuz I still really wanna meet Frid, and New York is less of a trip. :P

Exactly and exactly! I KNOW my mom would love to get even within a FOOT of David Selby. He was her favorite for YEARS! She's not stalkerish, though, so it's not like she's attempted for years and failed...we've just never had the cash to pull it off. If I get a job during the summer or the fall semester, I'm saving money for my credit card bill so I can afford to surprise Mom next summer if it's in New York.

If it's in Burbank again, we're screwed. XD
