Canon history:
http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/WoodyAU history: Shortly after life had began with his new owner, Bonnie, Woody was surprised to find that he had received a letter from someone other than Ken. Who else was there that could possibly know him other than the toys at Sunny Side? As it turned out, a certain mouse did. The letter, even more surprisingly, was an invitation from the headmaster of Disney Academy asking that Woody teach at his school. Many would see it as the opportunity of a lifetime, the chance to start anew and finally interact with children without breaking toy law. Woody, however, was content where he was. He needn’t break the rule; he was alive in Bonnie’s eyes and took pleasure in allowing the girls imagination to make him whatever he need be. The rest of Andy’s toys had just begun to settle in and with Chuckles recent disappearance they all needed him there. Mickey’s invitation would kindly be declined.
Unbeknownst to him, Woody was not the only one of Bonnie's toy who received such invitation. Chuckles just so happened to get one as well and, unlike Woody, chose to accept. He spoke nothing of the Academy and disappeared without so much as a goodbye without any intention of returning. [This character was previously apped at the original Disney Academy. I'm going by their original application.]
It was some time later that Woody found himself the recipient of a second a second letter. He certainly liked to think he had an impact on more than one child's life but what more was there for a toy? The headmaster seemed too see so much more. As the Mist began to roll in, Woody grew more familiar with it's effects before Bonnie and her family were evacuated out of the city, Bonnie sweet enough to take her toys with her. Much to his relief, reports confirmed that Andy's college had been evacuated as well. And although they had all made it out safely, it had been close, far closer than Woody would have liked.
This 'Mickey' fellow seemed fairly convinced that he could help stop this Mist. Woody couldn't say he felt so sure, the idea outright ridiculous but maybe... maybe he could. Maybe this headmaster knew something that he didn't. It seemed only right that he accept the invitation if he could save his friends, Bonnie, and yes, even Andy. He could never forgive himself if he had just given up on everyone. For that reason, Woody found himself at the gates of the Academy, letter in hand.
Personality: Woody is everything you would expect from a cowboy. He’s brave, kind, and smart. He’s loyal to his friends and determined to be there for them no matter what. Once you’ve got a friend in Woody, you’ve got a friend for life. He has your back, even if it need be for something as simple as a little advice. It goes without saying the cowboy would stick his neck out for his friends, having risked more than his own well being for them, such as the case with his return to Sunny Side. Woody demonstrates his leadership qualities over the years by laying down the law to maintain peace and order to Andy’s room. This mostly involves his ability to keep the toys content and prepared for any event which may occur. This includes orderly moves to either a new room or an entirely new house, keeping toys calm and informed during the unravelling of new toys during birthdays and Christmas and simple support. If Woody is leaving for a period of time such as his previous excursions to cowboy camp with Andy he wants to be absolutely sure that everyone is taken care of from the highest shelf from the bottom of the toy chest. All their needs are important to Woody and he wants to ensure they are met, enough to review them thoroughly with Buzz before he leaves. But like every toy and person alike, Woody is not perfect. As soft-hearted as he may be he can’t help being equally as hardheaded - it's just how he was made. Woody can be quite stubborn. Once he has his mind set on something convincing him otherwise can prove most difficult. Convinced that they best be there for their owner and return to the attic where Andy intended them to be, Woody countlessly tries to bring his friends back to the house, ignoring their protests to do otherwise. Since they first donated themselves he began planning their escape back to Andy's house such as hiding under the car seats until they got home. But even after being ignored he persists, stressing their importants to Andy, reminding them as often as possible even at Sunny Side. He turns down two new lives, one at Sunny Side as well as one with Bonnie to return to Andy's, having gone so far as to even friends. However, once he realizes the danger he's left them in he quickly returns to their rescue. Let it me known that Woody also has little trouble expressing his frustration, doing everything from shouting to stomping around in his boots (but not like Gaston) to he makes his feelings heard. Examples of this are seen on numerous occasions; grunts and groans when he can't use his left hand to whistle and only his right, when Woody debates with Jessie about Andy and going to Japan, or when Woody kicks a checkers board out of jealousy after seeing Buzz with one of his friends when the space ranger first arrived. Over the years however Woody has grown to accept sharing the spotlight, going so far as to even introduce new toys such as Jessie and Bullseye unlike hoping for them to disappear as he had with Buzz. His belief is that a real toy's reason for living is to be there for their owner no matter what. That, however, by no means suggests Woody has overcome his fear of abandonment. He can still worry easily that he may not be loved anymore which can sometimes cause him to act irrationally just to receive that same love again.
Greatest Fear: Before Sid, Woody had always considered abandonment to be worst thing that could happen to a toy. To be left unloved, abandon or lost undoubtedly heartbreaking thing. He’d spent his share of time alone in the attic before Andy and to go back to such a life, locked away in the dark alone, is something he would rather avoid. But then there was Sid, the boy who made a hobby of removing toys parts and replacing them to make an all new hideous creation. Since their move from the boy’s house Woody has taken comfort knowing it couldn’t happen but every now and then has found himself haunted by the thought.
Has your character been at the Academy before/ does your character remembering being at the Academy before?: Nope!
What are you plans with this character?: You mean something other than to fuck Andy? Why, to fuck with Woody, of course! Expand and play out his fears, make the transition between toy rules and academy rules (start communicating with humans)... It's an entirely new environment for him and to develop him further is bound to be a blast - or a scream.

Woody's Darkest Hour
Woody sat up slowly, having waited longer than usual to rise to his feet again after Andy had left the room. He simply could not wrap his head around what had just happened. Never in his years had he thought he would see the day where was the bad guy, the villain, the criminal. He was a sheriff and a darn tootin’ one too. But ever since Buzz Lightyear had become a part of the show playtime had taken an unlikely turn. Instead of making the arrest Woody found himself being the arrest. It was wrong. All wrong. His latest scheme had involved robbing the bank, something that Woody could not have felt any worse about. Buzz had stopped him by having ‘stunned’ him with his laser. The stupid grin on the space ranger’s face, mocking him while he’d done so was more than enough to get Woody’s string in more than a few knots. He scoffed and began to dust himself off, only pausing as his hand grazed against his badge. His badge. Gently, Woody placed both hands over the golden star, reminded of what it meant and questioned whether or not such an honour was his to have after what he had done. No, it hadn’t been choice. It was only play time. As he had told the other toys, it was nothing to take personally. Andy had just been playing.
He shook his head and looked over to where the space ranger now stood, eyes narrowing as it became clear that he had received an ovation from the other toys regarding his ‘outstanding’ performance. Woody scoffed and quickly turned away. “It’s as though they’ve never seen an arrest before.” he muttered to himself. He’d done it all the time to far more dastardly villains; One Eyed Bart, the dastardly Evil Dr. Porkchop... Why, he wanted to be caught. He knew his mistake and wished to be reprehended for it. He was no bad guy.
Woody had a difficult time seeing himself as such, though when Andy played with him, breathed life into him, it had come so naturally. It made Woody wonder, could there have been some sort of evil sitting inside him? He absentmindedly placed both hands on his stomach at the thought. Had part of him enjoyed it, or had it simply been the thrill of being played with? Woody bit his lip.

Like the setting sun, Woody could feel the warm glow of the burning building on his shoulders as the flames engulfed it. Similar to the day, it had reach it’s end; the sun having only set completely on its time. His spurs softly rang with each step he took away from the bank, a resentful look on his face as he tossed the box of matches in his hold aside, money bags in hand. He’d done what he had to in order to remind them just whose town this was. If they were smart, they wouldn’t forget again.
“Halt!”
Woody looked up at the source of the voice and drew to a stop when he noticed the man standing before him. Ah, he had been beginning to wonder when he’d show up. “Lightyear.” He spoke lowly, his expression unchanged.
“I have been sent by the Local Protection Unit of the Space Ranger Corps after having sworn to protect this town from threat. Come peacefully or I will have no choice but to resort to force.”
Heh, spacemen. Always barging in, acting like they knew it all. The man’s words were shrugged aside as the sheriff slung his bagged profits over his shoulder and made to continue on his way.
Once again, however, the space ranger moved in Woody’s path. Arm extended, Buzz again spoke. “I cannot allow you to pass.”
“This is my town.” He reminded the man sternly. No one told him what to do.
“Not anymore, Sheriff.”
Woody’s lip twitched and for a moment, making it looked as though he were about to say something before he chuckled. "Well, why don't you tell that to my dinosaur!"
"What?!"
Suddenly the earth beneath them began to shake, long cracks in it's surface stretching toward their feet. They stopped just short of them, neither the cowboy nor space ranger having moved. But they would, because from under the ground the unimaginable would emerge: a tyrannosaurus rex. Between the pair, the dinosaur faced it's back to the cowboy and roared at the space ranger, Buzz immediately jumping back.
"This town just ain't big enough for the both of us!" Woody called out, watching in amusement as Buzz struggled to avoid the beasts snapping teeth.
"I’m taking back what’s mine." he continued. "And no one, not even you, is getting in my way, Buzz Lightyear!” He wanted it all; the fame, the glory and in taking back his town, his friends, Andy, he would have it all again.
“We’ll see about that!” the space ranger called out, just narrowly missing the dinosaurs foot. The creature roared in frustration but Woody was unfazed. He could only laugh at the man’s heroic display.
“Just try and stop me!” he challenged, simply loving every moment he got to watch the space ranger squirm. The cowboy, still laughing, reached for his holster but his hand never made it there.
Next thing Woody knew, he was on his back, lying on the ground with a cloud of dust around him and fallen coin. What had happened? His dinosaur, why could he not hear it? The sheriff's eyes widened as a thought dawned on him. No. It wasn't possible. He couldn't have...
Through the dust, Woody could make out a large dark form, slowly making its way toward him. Lightyear. Somehow the space ranger had overcome his dinosaur and managed a shot at him. Clutching his arm, Woody stiffly sat up.
"It's over sheriff." the space ranger spoke lowly.
Woody grit his teeth and reached for his holster once more. "You'll never take me, Lightyear!"
As he took aim, Buzz's eyes widened in surprise, his mouth opening to say something before ---
“Andy, dinners ready!”
“Okay mom!”
...
Woody opened his eyes, having caught himself trapped in that moment again. He wondered if he could have made that shot. Buzz was right in front of him and he'd always said how he'd have loved to see Buzz reduced to a crater in Sid's backyard. Of course, that was the boys handiwork, not his. But if it were him, well... well, he wasn't sure. Did he even have it in him to do such a thing? Once again, his hand found it's way back to his badge. His fingers slowly traced over the lettering, 'sheriff', as Woody fell deep into thought.
“Don’t let it get to you.”
Startled, Woody turned to face the source of the voice where he found Bo Peep at his side. “I’m not!" he replied without thinking. "I mean, I don’t- w-what are you talking about?”
"Don't think that I can't see you're upset." she replied, gently nudging the cowboy with her crook.
"Upset?" he repeated. "Why would I be upset? I'm not upset."
"Woody..."
Against his better judgment, Woody looked up at the shepherdess when she has said his name. The moment his eyes met hers he knew full well it was pointless to hide his feelings from her. He could fool the other toys but Bo? She could see right through him. Woody sighed, allowing his shoulders to sag as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"It's just... Andy's never made me the bad guy before."
Bo shrugged in response. "Andy's never made me the hero before."
Woody stared at Bo for a moment, imagining the shepherdess carrying him over her shoulder while her sheep fended off One Eyed Bart's force field dog. "Uhh..."
She smiled, as though she somehow knew what he was thinking. "You know Andy still loves you regardless what he makes you."
"I know, but what if... What if Andy actually thinks I'm-"
"A bad guy?" Bo finished for him. Woody looked at her in surprise before glancing away, a small nod given in reply. Unimpressed with his response, the shepherdess used her crook to lift his head back up and next to hers.
"Well I know you." she told him, her smile seemingly have grown. "And I know you're not a bad toy. You're sweet, caring and you'd give up your moving part to save any toy, even Buzz."
Woody fell silent and considered her words. As dastardly evil Andy's imagination made him, could make him, she was right. He simply did not have it in him to hurt another toy, even Buzz. Had playtime not have been interrupted, he would not have made that shot. Nothing could have made him pull that trigger. As much hate as he had for that toy, jealousy and ill will, he could not. That just wasn't him.
The cowboy could now feel the smile on his face as he looked at the shepherdess in return. Bo knew him better than he knew himself. Woody felt foolish for ever thinking otherwise and clicked his boots together in embarrassment. "Bo..."
"I wasn't finished you know."
Woody did a double take. "H-huh?"
"I didn't mention how handsome you are."
Were he not a a doll, Woody would surely have been caught blushing. He laughed, gaze shifting to the other toys to ensure they were not watching as Bo pulled him in closer for a kiss.

Trixie, are you there? It's me, Woo- ah, ‘The Sheriff’. [He’s more than certain the username ‘Woody50’ would tip her off but just in case.] Andy didn’t need his computer today so I figured I outta try to contact you guys and see how everyone is doing. I hope everything’s alright without me. Batteries are being changed, toys at the bottom of the basket are being rotated- Oh! And the cotton toys knows what to do if jelly beans or any other foods are stuck to their fur or hair? Right. What am I saying? Of course Buzz is on top of things.
California’s great. We saw a whole lotta palm trees on the ride over. Andy actually took me out of the trunk and let me ride next to him. I don’t think he’ll be taking me to the beach though. Sorry, Trixie. It looks like you’ll have to live out your dream of seeing the ocean another way. If I find any postcards with pictures of it on them though I’ll send them your way.
Shoot! I gotta go. It’s almost one, lunch time for Andy, and he should be back to his dorm in a minute. I'll make sure to contact you again.
Say hi to the others for me,
Woody
