um, buy things from me, please?

Goddamnit. I can't even go to work today, because I didn't get paid yet, and the 75 cents I have would only get me as far as downtown, with no way to get back. My mother borrowed all the cash I had yesterday, and is now gone to some unemployment thing, so I don't know when she'll be back ( Read more... )

Holy shit, that would be cool. But can you finish something in 9 days? Hey, let's do lunch this weekend or something. Would it be easy to make it something that could be carried as a backpack or a shoulder-purse? I'd happily pay you now for it if I thought I could have it before I leave for Europe. If not, I'll still buy one from ya but be less excited about it.

I could do something about the size of your purse or even bigger, if you'd like, in a thick canvas or really sturdy vinyl in about a week, definitely! I can put in as many pockets as you'd like, but most of the closures on the whole bag would probably have to be velcro. Button holes and snaps and things take extra time. Still, velcro will work very well ( ... )

Fucking exciting. I will paypal you if you tell me what address to use.

Colors: Black like my soul. Or something. Plain black is fin wiht me, but if your artistic eye says that 2 or more colors need to be used, what about doing blocks of primary colors? With the velcro, it'll give it a playroom kind of style instead of my usual, um... gothy look. *hangs head*

Let us plan to have lunch on Saturday. I will email/call on Friday with a more definite time. I'm guessing your schedule is pretty open with the slack in temp work lately.

Hahaha. Yes, I will walk into JoAnn Fabrics and go right to the Black - Like My SOUL rack. You'd be surprised at the variety. :P

Paypal address is girlwithaguitar@letterboxes.org. I can definitely do color blocks, or even quilty-pattern sort of blocks. I'll get the basic thing done by Saturday, and then we'll see how it looks.

Saturday works for me. Just let me know about the rest. :)

You should recruit Ari and his friends to create a mini-sweatshop an opportunity to learn about employment in the real world. Of course, you'd have to put them all back on task every 3 stiches, so it might be more efficient to do it yourself.

I wish things were going better for you.

I suppose I could bribe them with Transformers, but that would probably end up costing more. Such a dilemma. :P

Thanks. No big deal. I'm a bloody cartoon character - drop a big anvil with 'DEBT' written on it on my head, and I'll just pop back up. Heh.
