Sometimes, I think that Evergreen students become so drunk with their own imagined media power that they start making up their own words. It's probably not as egotistical as all that, but seriously. You cannot just stick any word together with 'queer' or 'trans' as a prefix and make your own brand-spanking new word that you expect everyone to ( Read more... )

Political apathy is the scourge of our generation. It saddens me to see such a promising young woman fall prey to such an ugly thing. I hope you'll become enlightened to the wonderful nature of our government.

In other, less sarcastic news (but about sarcasm, incidentally), I've been finding TWOP far too snarky lately. I mean, I occasionally check their thoughts on Law and Order:SVU (though they only did the first season), or Angel, or Buffy, and those harpies are never satisfied. I guess it makes for good reading once or twice, when you're impressed by what seems like an informed, cynical opinion. But then you keep reading and you realize that they're all just bitter assholes.

Consider me one of the fallen.

You're being far too kind, however. What you call apathy is, in fact, blind rage. I just control it with wittiness. :P

I have pretty much given up on TWOP as well. I do still once in a while read the ER recaps, mainly because I can't bear to sit through the entire show anymore, but even then, there is too much bitterness for me to stand. Christ. I grow tired of the skanks as well.

You should write some Buffy reviews, and I'll do some QAF ones, and we'll post them online in protest. Could be fun. :)

Only problem is, we're both far too sarcastic for most people to notice the difference. It'd be like Calvinists VS Catholics - the grudge match of the century where no one has any clue why they're fighting.
