That's one thing I love about their relationship in the show so much - Booth is constantly challenging her like that, making her see things in a different light that isn't so anthropological. And then, like you said, we end up with something very raw from her. I looove it.

I really must "third" your comments, as they are very, very, true about their relationship. Each challenges the other - and the result is always interesting, and often wonderfully vulnerable and touching.

Yeah. Especially because we rarely see them so vulnerable. I've said this to someone else but my favorite line - in the entire show - is at the end of CMitML, when Booth and Brennan are sitting outside and he says, "My dad drank." It was really touching to me.
