This was written for lastficauthor, with the prompt 'chess piece' (literal or metaphorical) and I wrote, of course, Skins - but from Sophia's POV. Most of my comments were good; got a couple saying I didn't answer the prompt, and that makes sense, I think I made it a bit too subtle. Anyway, without further ado:

Yeah, at first, I was like OMG SOPHIA NO I HATE YOU NEVERRRR but the more time passes the easier it is to think about it clearly. And I just found her character so devastating.

aww bb thank you very much :) yeah, it's hard to write when you have limits. That's why I joined the contest - I'm trying to train myself.

IKR THEY HAD SO MUCH TO WORK WITH, SO MUCH THEY COULD HAVE DONE WITH NAOMILY. The thing is, though, is that when you look at the individual episodes, many of them are quite amazing (Katie's, Cook's, Freddie's) but as a whole, the storylines were just...lacking. I was disappointed until I learned about the movie. NOW MY HOPE IS RESTORED :D

omg this is gorgeous, I love it.
it sounds kinda silly but this is exactly how I imagined her backstory.
it would've been awesome to know more about her character.

anyways, lovely story. AS USUAL. I HATE/LOVE YOUR TALENT.

i agree, i wish we had gotten more backstory on her. sheintrigues me. and i feel like she's a character EVERYONE can relate to - in terms of her escapism, if that makes sense? i think we've all had that feeling at one point or another. and the things she said in her sketch book - you don't expect stuff to just happen. you don't.

EXACTLY. as usual, you take the words out of my mouth.
I think I probably saw the ending of the emily episode about a million times, the scene with the sketchbook was heartbreaking, and I'm not afraid to say I cried like a baby. YES I DID.

tyvm bb ♥ if I hadn't waited so long to write this, I probably would have written a Sophia revenge piece too. But all the time in between Emily's episode and this gave me different perspective. :)
