Yea, it's not what her mother did but rather the way she put it that stings. :\ Her mother don't even know who her father is, so that will forever be a mystery. XD
I really felt so bad for Kismette when she confronted her biological mother. :(. I know that woman had her reasons, but there was no call to be so insensitive about it.
I loved this update!!! Zaelem and Kismette!!! Yay!!! :D
Merry Christmas to you too! Hope you've had an awesome holiday. ^^
Well... I guess acknowledging her mother didn't really change her life, so she'll probably move on pretty quickly. :\ (haha, what about that long story? Maybe share with us some day on your lj? ;))
OH! hahaha, I kinda misread what you said earlier! Hehe, thank you! :D I kept tweaking the details here and there while writing that scene. Can't decide between funny, awkward and just plain romance. :P
Hmm, busy sounds pretty good. :) (My mum always complains that I lack a social life. XD) ME TOO! I'm not going today on New Year's Day! :P (But then again, I never had the tradition of celebrating it in the first place, heh.)
Well, this is like a short detour from her path of life. It didn't really change things for her, so she'll get back to her old life pretty soon. :) (LOL at the 'mother' requiring quotation marks! XD)
This may be my first time commenting (I can't remember), but if it is, hi! :)
Loved this chapter and omgomgomg Kismette/Zaelem. I've been rooting for them all along and this made me so happy. <3
I just had a quick question: I don't know if I missed a leap in logic, but how were Zaelem & Kismette able to guarantee they weren't related? I remember Zaelem saying in the last chapter that it was his family home, and usually homes were given to family members?
(Apologies if it's a stupid question, haha, I am occasionally a wee bit slow.)
HELLOOO THERE!!! :D I have a poor memory regarding names and faces, so doncha worry about you not remembering it, heh! :P
Hehe, thanks! I felt like jumping on the couch or something after posting this chapter! XD
You were right: I didn't show the connection clear enough (or rather, their lack of blood connection). It was all in my head, I realised. O_O The way it's supposed to go is that Kismette's mother married the owner of the house and is not the one who inherited it, hence didn't descend from Zaelem's eldest brother. :)
YOU ARE NOT SLOW MMKAY! You saved my life, hahaha! Thank you so much, Kelsey!

:( Well, I suppose her mother was just too selfish to even want to put things across nicely.
(me too, hehe!)
