That picture of Zae crying is so painful :/ Poor Kiss. I know she's just utterly destroyed by something like this and just when their love was beginning to blossom.. Its a sad day in the world of Kissmette and Zaelem, and by the looks of it, Jeremy too!
Finally, someone who thinks that Mejaine deserves what she got, hahaha! :D Yea, it sucks to know that deep down, you have already lost the battle. Made all her efforts seemed even more desperate, huh. :\

Exactly! It's kinda twisted how fate can be; He came to Grythen because Mejaine wanted to, and stayed because of her and ended up meeting someone else much better; the army was his only option then, and he thrived in it, which allowed him to "feed" Mejaine, which in turn made him stay even longer but now sends him to his grave. It's like, you never know which is the blessing or the curse. :) (There is actually a Chinese proverbial story about this blessing-curse thingy, if you're interested, heh

But they always say that the writer have all the rights and the reader have just the rights to love it or not...
I think that a story that make you feel nothing is not a good story and yours make us feel like being in a rollercoster, so you are doing a really great job.
It's like leaving the song I hate you than I love you for real lol

Yea, the ups and downs the ride all the more worth it! I do love it when people comment with strong emotions, actually. Hehe. (I have this favourite phrase, by the way: It takes both rain and sunshine to make life's rainbows. I guess without the bad times, the good times wouldn't feel as good, haha. :))
So, coherent comment time: All right, now I know exactly what's going on with Mejane. I thought it was related to her unhealthy lifestyle as a dancer (like, she'd damaged her body by excessively regulating her weight and appearance, possibly with magic,) so I was kind of but not really right. That age pause spell is not something to play with. Also, I'm forever in awe of your picture taking skills. I knew there was something wrong with her face since we didn't see it, but you surprised me anyway. So, Zaelem's recovered enough to go see Mejane at the hospice, not because of any hold she has on him, but because it might be her dying wish? You sir, are made of win. Somebody we all know would have hung up the phone and pretended that he'd never known her. Yeowch, sick Mejane is still quite acidic. And it's such a Pyrrhic victory in light of the ending. Now... yeah, already commented on the ending. Not sure how Zaelem's getting out of that...
Eh, I had a sneaky suspicion that it was you who guessed it, but I just couldn't find that comment! :P
Hehe, I must admit that I've thought of presenting the shots like that, hiding her face until the very end, right from the start of writing that scene. I guess it's because I always imagined the scenes playing like a movie, so that helped with deciding how I wanted the screenshots to be like too. ^^

So glad you caught that. :D I was actually quite torn when writing that scene, though; I didn't know how mean to make him be. I wanted him to be not be a total douchebag but still human enough to want to be mean and yet feel guilty, lol. Too many goals to reach! :P
