*HUGGLES BACK!* Gosh, I missed you too, J! I took up a part-time job in a factory that sells cakes, pastries, breads and stuff because I don't think I'll ever get the chance to do that again. :P It's not related to my field of study, though, hehe. YEA, FINAL SEMESTER! It's so scary; I feel like I'm leaping into flames, hahaha.
Are you in NZ too? :D :D :D Omgosh maybe I can drop by and say hi! :D I actually toyed with the idea of migrating there, to be honest, but my family is all here. It's gonna be difficult to leave. :(
Whoa, a big shift in work, huh? Hopefully that benefits everyone in the company. :) A change of fresh air, at least, haha.
Don't call them failed stories!! See, they're cumulating into something bigger now! :D Playing around may just give you all the inspiration you need. ;)
Oh! I've forgotten that half the sims community has moved to the tumblr platform, heh. Will be checking your tumblr out! ;)
You will be missed! But Life is Life. Finish school strong :) And hey, at the end of August you'll probably have oodles of time before you get a job :P
Aww! -^^- Thank you! So glad to see that you're still around in the community! (I see your lj is *sneeze* collecting dust, haha) I hope I'll finish school with the grades I want! :P I'd be scared about having those oodles of time, though. That's what I'm most apprehensive of about graduating, heh. I hate crossroads in life! D:
Ning! Ooh, is it an internship in New Zealand or just temp stuff? Either way, hang in there, you've got what, 10,000 words to go? And less than a month!
Yeah, employment. It's rough, but it's supposedly getting better all the time, so... at least the New Zealand work is something for you to put on a resume, right?
Haha, just a temporary thing; I applied for this visa where you get to work while you travel instead of just being a tourist. I simply love their lifestyle! Such a nice change of pace! ^^
Bah, I'm done with the thesis. (So there, shortest thesis ever. :P) I don't believe that my professor is looking for word count; her feedback on my draft was that it was "well-written", which is probably why I think I can stop working on it now. XD I'm so complacent, gosh.
Sigh, I don't know. I've got friends who haven't got jobs yet, but I've also got friends who already found jobs in the previous semester. :\ Fruit-picking in NZ isn't gonna help my resume, methinks. XD
Cultural experience! (No, seriously, everybody in charge of things around here is a sucker for "cultural experiences.") My thesis is... longer than that, and I haven't done the defense or the experiment yet! Sciences are currently kicking my ass.
I was instructed to get complacent last semester, so you're at least doing something right. And when they can't find anything wrong with the thesis, it's time for one last polish and moving on.
Well, I've got friends who have had a job waiting for them since they were nineteen, friends who are busy applying to the forest service, friends who are still unemployed after graduating last year, and friends of friends who apparently still work as waitresses. (Also, several people I knew from high school dropped out in the last two years and are having babies. It's like a sea of wedding and baby shower invitations and they all happen whenever I'm sick or out of the country, I swear.)
*glomps* Congratulations Ning! Even though you have lots more to do on your thesis, no more examination is sweet. I'd be doing the happy dance over that. Can you tell I hate exams? Even now I can remember them and the whole atmosphere. *Shiver*
Also yah for New Zealand! Although not quite such a loud wooo as you would get for Australia! We are better! Go Vegemite! lol.
As to Z, I can't say i like him with red eyes! Noo I want the 'cuddly' version back again!
*bounce!* Thank you, Jo! ^^ So great to see you still hanging around! Hahaha, I thought you would have been used to taking examinations, eh? XD I HATE doing presenations, though. Presentations and interviews. They are always nerve-wrecking for me. :(
Well guess what? I actually planned to go Australia when I first thought of going for my exchange programme, but there were no Universities offered for my course! :P I'm definitely going Australia some day! ^^ (But Vegemite... *shudders* LOL)
YAY YOU NOTICED! That's not actually happening in the story, hehe. Just something symbolic about him and Kismette's stars... ;) But *cough*cuddly? A cuddly warrior? XD
Oh yes the presentation, no I couldn't do those. I hide if a microphone is anywhere nearby, the thought of getting up to speak nearly makes me hyperventilate.
Vegemite is I agree an acquired taste, but it's yummy on toast-yes really!
Hehe cuddly warriors are the best kind. K may be all gruff but I think he's a teddy bear underneath.
I was so surprised to receive your message; I couldn't believe someone out there is still waiting for this!! Omg you, come over here, I need to hug you! :D
I've been busy with job applications and interviews, but the main reason for my inactivity (so far) is that my desktop AND laptop both died (makes you wonder what kind of a computer monster I am o_o). I bought a new desktop 3 days ago, hehe. And had to scour the forums for all the silly compatibility issues on Windows 8. So far no crashes yet! :P
Anyway, thank you so much for that huge motivation! I promise I will finish this story, but I do need to get myself familiarised with all the crazy poseboxes again, haha!
He/she is not the only one waiting for another update. I am too (and I am not the same anonymous person).
I never commented before (I'm shy) but I really love your story. It's probably the best of all the sim-stories I follow, and I follow a lot of them. I have read all your chapters at least three times, if not more, and I'm still amazed by your characters, text, pictures and ofcource the your story as a whole.
I also want to thank you for mentioning when you won't be uploading a new chapter for a while. I am often afraid that if people don't post anything for a while they don't come back to finish their story. It's a nice change with many other sim-stories I (have) follow(ed). My English is not that well but I hope you understand at least the half of what I've said.
*jaw drop* I am so stunned I can't even think of a proper reply. You are just too kind! Thank you!! -^^- (Aaah, I'm grinning like mad now, hehe!)
I am actually more afraid of people ditching me when they see how inactive I am, haha. And I can understand why; it gets difficult to pick up from where I left off since you mostly need to remember what happened previously. :P I'm not sure if you need an lj account, but you can click on "track" on top of this post to get notifications when I update so that you don't have to guess when it is coming up. :D
(Your English is completely understandably, by the way. In fact, I couldn't see anything wrong with it! ;))
Thank you so much for you lovely comment! I hope the future chapters won't disappoint you! ^^
