It was supposed to be a clear, warm night. Tom had rushed home after work and was admiring his work. He had pulled out a king sized air mattress and set it up on the balcony. New jersey cotton sheets, and a huge comforter in case it got cold. Huge fluffy pillows and an awning they could use to encircle the porch in case it did rain again

Soon after leaving work, Lucy headed back to the Towers. She quickly dropped off a note for Miss Ryn before heading up to the flat.

"Collins? Are you home?" she called out as she opened the door. Not seeing him anywheres, she headed further in.

And then the setup on the balcony caught her eye. "What's all this then?" she asked, smiling brightly.

Tom snuck up behind her and kissed her neck. "Hi baby. Welcome home." He pulled her close.

"I just wanted to thank you for being there for me this past month. I love you for loving my friends."

"Oh, Collins... You needn't to have..." She turned in his arms and smiled up at him. "It's lovely. But honestly, what else could I have done? I love you. I couldn't help but love them."

Tom grinned. "I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to." He pulled her over and sat her down at the table. He ran back to the kitchen and came out carrying dinner. He kissed her softly and fed her a piece of chicken. "Good?"
