A very bored looking Tom was sitting in the cafe, sipping hot tea and people watching.

Trouble is, there weren't many people around.

Thus the flaw in his plan.

((ooc: Feel free to join him, he's actually quite nice!))

Jordan wandered into the cafe, still more than half asleep. By the time she got a coffee (a very large, very hot coffee), settled in at a table, and had a few fortifying if burning gulps, she was almost awake enough to notice that the table she sat at wasn't exactly empty.

Tom watched the sleepy woman wander around the cafe and settle in across from him. He merely stared at her with a brow raised.

"Morning."

"Hmm, oh sorry!" she said, startled, "Didn't mean to invade your table."

Note to self: In the future, wake up *before* stumbling out of the hotel.

Tom just chuckled and smiled at her.

"Don't worry about it, I'm glad for the company. I'm Tom Collins, nice to meet you miss...?"

[ooc - lies, all lies. also, will be v. slow, sorry]

There was another flaw in his plan.

Because the next time he went to take a sip of his tea, he'd find that the little girl who'd just sat down next to him had stolen it.

So, alas, no people to watch and now no tea to drink. 'Twas sad, really.

"Hey!...oh. It's you. Whaddya you want?" Tom grinned and kissed her cheek.

"What're you doing out and about today? Thought you were gonna rest after last night." Tom waggled his eyebrows at her and braced himself for the smack he knew was coming.

"Well, I thought I'd go looking for some pleasant company," she smiled at him. "Didn't find any, though, so I figured I'd join you."

Well, it couldn't be said Lucy was one to disappoint. Smacking him as expected, she then smirked as she took a sip of his tea. "Some people think a bit too highly of themselves, perhaps..."

Tom chuckled and bit off some more bacon. "Meanwhile, others don't realize how truly amazing they are. You want some pancakes?" He had enough on his plate to feed a small army.
