I often get older people who think that since I'm a computer programmer, I never experience any computer problems. This is exactly backwards: the reality is since I'm a computer programmer, I'm always having computer problems. ( Here's the current list, more or less. )

Looks like Jub-Jub has been put to work again.

I've been reading a huge long interview with Alan Moore. He says a lot of fascinating things, and weird but interesting things. But he also spends a good bit of time arguing his personal writing style is The Right Way To Do It, and as I've said before, I don't think it's the right way for many people other than him.

There's a squirrel sprawled out a tree branch in our front yard, just relaxing and dangling an arm down. I've seen our cats in that pose on the sofa. I don't think I've ever seen a squirrel at rest before.

I have just been shamed into finally planting the remaining tomatoes. I bought them back in May, and they've been sitting in their tiny little individual container thingees waiting to be planted ever since, right next to the tomatoes we did plant. The problem with having something like five major projects going on at once is that every day you do a hard day's work and still feel like you haven't even started to accomplish what needs to be done.

matociquala really outdid herself with this one, IMO. Easily my favorite of the Promethean Age books, probably my favorite of hers overall.

(... as we were in cochese's comments) why did it take reading Meg Cabot's blog (don't ask) for me to learn about Dr Horrible? NPH and Nathan Fillion in a Joss Wheadon superhero musical! Words fail me!
