Career: Year Zero

So, I have an interview with Marjon's on Tuesday, with an aim to beginning my PGCE in September. I really need this to go well.

Verity: any advice?

i am the verity and my advice is this:

really play up the fact that you are a man, a mature student and the fact that you have kids. children need male role models in the classroom, at all ages. i forget if you're doing primary and high school.
there is no way they are not going to take you on, i can pretty much promise you that.

I've not had any reason yet, just looked up my application status online.

I assume it's because I exhibited no confidence in my own abilities and demonstrated a shocking lack of subject knowledge.

I need to start learning stuff (and remembering it) if I want to get in next year.
