Hey, maybe you could help settle a minor debate between me and my hubby. We watched STID for the "hundreth" time. There's this on line that still baffles us. When Kirk and Spock are talking to Adm. Marcus after Khan shoots up HQ, and Marcus asks Kirk if Pike ever told him who recruited him (pike). My hubby thinks Marcus is talking about Kirk's father. I think Marcus was talking of himself, cuz he also says that Pike's death is "on him". In ST 2009, Pike says he was assigned the Kelvin as his dissertation, that means that he joined after the Kelvin was destroyed, therefore couldn't have been recruited by George. Right?
