And LOL at that last line from the preview -- ‘Kara Thrace and her Special Destiny.’ Sounds like a lame cover band.” -- One of my favorite lines from the show! (I know I shouldn't read the preview or the last lines, but sometimes I can't help myself.

Oh, I adore Laura. :-) So calm and reasonable. Kudos to whoever wrote that line! I didn't want Kara and Sam to hook up. Not necessarily because I don't ship them but because of all the cameras! Their first time shouldn't be witnessed by millions. Just doesn't seem right for these kids.

“I’ll finish it for you,” she tells her former mentor, and walks with them into the dark.

Okay, I, uh, read this last night. Right before going to bed. That wasn't such a good idea. *shudders* (I didn't think it had made such an impression, because I went right to sleep, but as I was waking up this morning, I was definitely having a Hunger Games-ish nightmare.)

Anyway, yay! New chapter! Kara and Laura back together! Poor Sam! Unfortunately-timed yet adorable kissing!

Aw, Zak could really use some adult help right now...

Ah, poor Sam (poor Saul & Ellen, too). He and Kara certainly know when to meet under the most trying of times. They seem to the type of bad timing that Kara & Lee had in canon.

Laura's reactions were perfect, both to catching them kissing and then to witnessing what had happened to the Tighs. I felt like her strength and resolve was starting to waver more here than even from last chapter. The cracks are definitely appearing.

The whole team is showing the wear as this day goes on. Not sure how Kara's going to do as banged up as she is. Of course, with both Lee and Sam helping (assuming she lets them) she should manage. Now if I can just manage until the next update :)
