For  scandalizations! Happy birthday my love ;o; And thank you to my friend for betaing n__n idk her journal /dies ♥

From the start love was swaying bouncing orchestra playing loud
Oh so enlightening but it also felt frightening when
A lasso in high speed make a perfect knot around my knees

he’s too shy to say it out loud. definitely not gonna happen. and usually he’s so confident, he’s got that charm and maybe a little air of mystery (he hopes..) that has already led him to turn down a lot of ladies already. none of them really know him anyway; they like that they don’t know him, that he’s hard to read, cause that way they can make up anything about him, get these grand delusions of breaking down his walls or whatever.

but this girl, she gets him, and when they’re together he feels more like himself than he has in years. maybe it’s cause she’s so laidback. maybe it’s cause she’s light as air, always having something smart and positive to say and god knows he needs that. all that goes on in his head is cynicism half the time, and that’s one thing she’s never shown him. doesn’t hurt how cute she is, either, how long her legs look when she wears shorts. her long hair’s nice too, and.. well, there are a lot of things he’s finding that he likes about her.

every sunday after he crawls out of bed and she gets out of church they meet up, take a walk and eat sandwiches at a beach, whichever one she says she wants to head to. she misses home, where she had the beach right outside her house. he’s never been that big on beaches, really, but he doesn’t mind going with her sometimes. it’s a nice place, and she’s especially radiant there. and he gets sandwiches she makes for them, and he’s not about to complain about that.

people expect him to be the guy who can just sweep a girl off his feet when he wants to, but he really can’t do that. especially today, when they meet up and it’s raining, so they can’t really go to the beach. she looks a little disappointed and he tries not to feel guilty - not like he made it rain. he’d like to change her expression, though. that much maybe he can do.

they’re standing under his umbrella, outside a restaurant he thought was open that seems to have closed early, and he’s trying not to look annoyed. she reassures him it’s okay, grinning for some reason, probably he’s funny when he’s irked. he apologizes a few times, glaring at the wet sidewalk, and she laughs again. if she didn’t sound so goddamn pretty when she laughed he would get angrier.

the rain keeps on coming down, and he angles the umbrella slightly against it, hoping to block it for the most part. she scoots a little closer and makes a noise as some rain hits her, so he tries harder to protect them. not sure why he doesn’t just lead her somewhere dry, but she’s not walking either, somehow comfortable right there. he looks up at her, watching her laugh for a moment before turning the umbrella just a little more to cover them from the people in their cars and on the sidewalk and leans down just enough to press a kiss to her cheek, right beside her mouth. his knees quiver a little as he leans away again, as she looks over at him, the smile not faded from her expression, and again when she leans in to touch their lips together. it’s by reflex that he doesn’t drop the umbrella, instead holding it tighter and nearer, and they both ignore the rain dripping in their hair and on their unprotected shoulders.

he can’t say it out loud, but he can say it like this.
