anyone have any good reccomendations for digital cameras that are not *too* expensive, and good for photography?

and if you have a digital camera, what brand is it, where did you buy it, and can i see a sample picture? do you reccomend it?

I just bought a HP photosmart 318-it's 2.31 MP and takes great pictures and it was only $199 plus you got a free memory card with it. You can see some of the pics I took at

my sony cyber-shot & i are attached at the hip.
it was really expensive (like 800+).
i'm sure you can as good cameras for a much less price ( i think ours was so expensive because it was a brand new model)
