Hello, 2012! Here are my New Year's Resolutions. I usually don't make these, but since it's the (supposed) apocalypse, why not.
1) Write more fanfics. This year was a bit of a fail; I only wrote six pieces due to lack of inspiration and school kicking me in the face. But I plan on participating in the next round of the
30_onepiece challenge, so that should

You can hit up #1 and #5 at the same time! I always get my story and fanfic inspiration by grabbing my mp3 player and talking walks. Moving + music = idea flow. It is super healthy, plus, you have things to write about when you get back. :D
For #3 I'm curious, are you going into an artistic profession? Or you just wanna know more about human anatomy?
I am totally with you on #8 :D
Happy New Yeaaaar!

I should try that sometime. For some really weird reason, most of my fanfic inspiration comes from the showers. >>;;

It's the latter. A few of my friends are really good at drawing both in the anime style and in real-life portraits; one of them offered lessons. As of right now, my body proportions are waaaay off. I need lots of practice.
Haha, #8 is very important. :D

Lol, same for me actually! Pretty much any time I can set my body to doing some sort of menial, tedious, or otherwise repetitive task, I can start thinking. As long as I'm moving somehow and being active somehow, my mind can start whirling. Walking just happens to be the easiest way to trigger that.

Don't forget to do LOTS of life studies. A lot of times people just want to learn to draw cartoons/manga/whatever and neglect life studies, but let me tell you, it's absolutely vital! When your friends start giving you lessons, try drawing them, or yourself in front of a mirror, or just a small portion of the body (ex. your not-drawing hand, a foot). Figure drawing and drawing from life are essential to really learning the human body. :)
Gooooood luck :D
