Why can't something like this exist in the US?

I just found out that there’s an awesome store in Tokyo that exclusively sells One Piece merchandise. AND I WANT.

There aren’t too many stores that sell One Pieces things where I live, although the local Japantown does have a Kinokuniya Bookstore, where I got my Volume 60 and Shark Colorwalk (which I affectionately refer to as “my Shark book”). But ( Read more... )

STORE. WANT. NAO.

Our local Barnes & Noble is fairly well stocked with the manga, and I can buy the anime at the local Best Buy. But that's about the extent of the anime-related merchandise. So much so that one time a friend and I were shopping in a random game shop, saw some OP notebooks, and my friend was all, "ZOMG, you have to get one, you'll never see it again otherwise!"

Normally I'm able to walk into stores with lots of money and then right back out without having spent a dime but I think I would be SORELY TEMPTED there.

I’m glad to be back in the swing of things; I took a small break from One Piece since I was jumping into a new fandom, but it seems like OP can take my brain back now. I think I’ll reread the whole arc and try to figure out who’s doing what. The weekly updates are great and they let me be on top of things, but I honestly can’t remember where half the crew is and what they’re doing.Same here, Legend of Korra took over my brain for a while and I've been distracted by a few other things recently, but OP is ( ... )

There's rarely a lot of OP merchandise where I'm at. Yes, Kinokuniya has all the manga volumes, but there aren't a lot of OP-themed things. Most of the anime stores are taken over by Naruto and Bleach. I really wish that the Op would gain more popularity in the West Coast.

If I was to go to that OP store, I'd blow all my money on the colorspreads and art books. Because I want lots of art to transform my walls into an OP gallery or something.

New fandoms can be really fun! But the great thing about OP is that it's always waiting for me to come back. It's still my favorite fandom. :3

Me, I'd love to get a hold of some of the figurines if I could...or things to put on my walls, posters and such...and clothing. Definitely clothing.

But I'd probably see tons of other stuff too that I'd want to spend my money on.

Basically all my life savings would go to One Piece. But that's okay because it'll make Nami happy at least...

Yeah, OP is like that solid and steady fandom that's patient enough to wait for you while you get distracted but never, ever gives up on you :) Which is really nice XD
