BBC Sherlock doll
Back at the start of June, I made a Sherlock doll for my friend Mikki’s birthday. She’s the one who got me into BBC Sherlock in the first place. :3
The hair and body are made of fleece. Black felt is really hard to work with because it pulls apart so easily and the tiny hairs get rubbed in everywhere. Fleece doesn’t shed nearly as easily and I finally found a crafts shop that sells fleece in solid colors. It’s also a lot softer and stronger, which is nice.
Sherlock doesn’t have his longcoat because I really couldn’t figure out how to make that work in the time I had. I also realize that I tied Sherlock's scarf wrong, but the strip of felt wasn't long enough to loop it around his (rather wide) neck.
I am, however, ridiculously pleased with how his hair turned out.
