It's been a month already and I'm still here. I wonder if I'll stay for long?

I'm glad that bad event ended! I hope everyone's alright. I used to think "events" were good things, but it seems different here...

Bad things happen and they suck, but sometimes you gotta have them so you can see what's really good in life. If things are fine and dandy all the time, where's the fun in that? Nothing changes, no one learns anythin'.

But what happiness means to me? A kickass day where I don't gotta worry about someone' sniping my ass or hurting someone I care about. Drinking and smoking can fall somewhere in there too.

But... Would you cause harm on purpose to understand happiness better?

Me? Naw. I ain't saying I haven't done some things to hurt people before or screwed up myself, but the world's got enough fucked up things with it so I try not to add to it.

I believe there's always a new chance for everyone to be happy. Do you believe that?

I'm happy as long as those close to me are happy and safe.

If sad things never happened, how would one know if they are happy, Kobato-san ? They would have nothing to compare.

But... Causing the harm yourself... I want to think there are other ways.

Sometimes, feeling pain can reassure oneself about their abilities to feel. Self-inflicting it is usually just an attempt to feel something, anything.

This about more than being happy in those cases.

I want this person to concentrate on looking for happiness without causing pain to others or to himself. There has to be a different way to reassure yourself you can feel...
