Stroke Twelve

The opening night party went off splendidly, and the next morning's Arts section was filled with rave reviews. Although, I do have to wonder...is it my talent or my fame that's getting me all of this? I'd prefer the former.
Genichirou, are you still mad over that painting I put in? Really, no one could tell it was you. Although...I'm worried. Those ( Read more... )

No drinking.

...The rumor that my pornstar girlfriend is really a boyfriend has been spreading through the office, Seiichi. I'm starting to get concerned.

Too late.

...This is why I warned you about coming to the opening, Genichirou. There was press there, and of course my picture was going to be taken quite a bit.

But...I don't know how they got your name! And why would someone want to damage you by revealing you as...

...Fuck. It was meant to damage me, even though it's well known that I'm bi.

. . . I can't imagine Sanada to be too thrilled about the Arts section today.

...He's going to lose his job. Why the hell would someone want to hurt him like that? I'm trying to figure out how to clear it all up...

Where does Sanada work? If he loses his job he could surely successfully sue for gross misconduct. I can't say I recognize the reporter name, do you?

A discrimination lawsuit in Japan? Are you insane, Atobe? Hell, it's hard enough to get murders convicted here.

Besides, Genichirou works for Iida Corp. They're probably smart enough to make sure that the reason he's fired-if he's fired, mind you, is for "poor job performance" or some bullshit like that.

I can hardly take all the credit. Sengoku-san came over and made it worse and helped out. But that's - my goodness! Really? You really don't have to, I mean - wow.

It's good you had help-I couldn't manage three children on my own!

I enjoy giving art away more than selling it. Please take care of it, it's fragile.

Oh, there was no trouble in the least! ^_^ It was really fun. Please consider letting me babysit again.

I'm honoured. Thank you, Yukimura-san.

Let's hope it's your talent. I didn't realize just how much of the press would be there. More for An's sake than mine

*sighs* Seiichi, I thought you were going to stop drinking. Think of the kids, at least.

Well, the strict art critics enjoyed the work, and that's what I was proud of. I doubt they'd keep up with a tennis player.

..Speaking of, did you see the Arts section? We're panicking here.

The kids are at daycare. They're fine.

Of course they wouldn't. That's for the sports reporters to keep up with. I'm glad the critics liked the works then. I thought they were quite unique.

And I did see that. I'm going to assume most of Tokyo - if not the whole of Japan knows about you two. I wish I was in a position where I could help you somehow.

Not what I meant, Seiichi. They'll be home sooner than you think.

...I'm worried about Genichirou's career, and the impact on our children. That's the only thing.

...I'm drinking. I am far from drunk.
