Stormy Sandy and deadlines

Fortunately, my area's on the outer edge of Sandy, so the weather hasn't been nearly as bad as in some other places. It has thrown a wrench in my crazy Halloween deadline schedule, though. :( So, here's a brief writing update:

Patience: This NCIS WIP is due for an NFA challenge on Halloween, so it's my No. 1 priority. I'm two chapters away from ( Read more... )

Wow that is a LOT of writing! Have you posted Patience to AO3, etc? I'm waiting til done to read and love Ao3 ease of download.

Idle question...have you found that your fanfic process has changed at all since writing original fic? I'm finding I'm MUCH more efficient fanfic-wise now.

Nope. Planning to wait until Patience is done before putting on AO3. Might be a project for vacation, depending on how hairy the election is...

I was always fairly efficient fanfic-wise - side effect from the newsroom. I think I give myself a higher bar to clear for which fanfic projects to tackle because it takes away from Exeter, though.

Was so happy to see you posting again :) Of course now it means I have to re-read all of the previous chapters!

If only I could handle doing as much writing as you do all at once. My entire focus is taken up with history and research writing these days. Though I'm loving it and have found that while it's not quite as easy as riding a bike, getting back in the seat with my feet on the pedals has so far not been too scary. We'll see how these drafts go.

I at least have some fic bunnies, but I need to try and keep my eye on the ball, though I have been writing little bits here and there when I need to stay in a writerly-mode. I'm finding it helps, and it's just kind of nice playing with these guys a little again, even if only a few words at a time.

And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more Breathe ;) And for your original stuff!
