ALL I ASK IS DO NOT COPY THESE TUTORIALS EXACTLY. DO NOT MAKE A WHOLE POST OF ICONS USING THESE TUTORIALS, EVEN IF YOU CREDIT ME. THESE ARE MY IDEAS AND I'M NOT REALLY FOND OF LOOKING AT SOMEONE'S ICONS AND WONDER WHY THEY LOOK LIKE MINE. THESE ARE JUST TIPS TO HELP YOU BECOME MORE FAMILIAR WITH PHOTOSHOP CS2.

start with your base. I chose one of the lovely Anne Hathaway.
-sharpen once.
-duplicate lyer, set to softlight.
-a new layer. using a round brush. 7px with the color white go over anne's figure and set the layer to color.
-flatten image, duplicate it once and set to softlight.
-I added two border brushes by
inxsomniax-flatten image. then using the rectangular marquee tool select a part of Anne's face. copy and paste it. go to edit> transform> flip horizonal.
-move that layer wherever you want.
-I added some tiny text.
ta da!!
TUTORIAL NUMBER 3
-start with a 300 by 300 white canvas.
-I added a texture by
inxsomniax-then I added a smaller texture by
te-xture now keoo that canvas, either save it or just keep it open in photoshop.
-open the image your using. crop and resize to 200 by 200.
-duplicate the base and set it to softligh.
-using the rectangualr marquee tool, select an area from your image and paste it as a new layer in your canvas.
so you have your first layer as a texture, then your scond as a smaller texture and your third as you image.
flatten everything and resize it to 100 by 100. sharpen if need be.
and you're done!!
