A film meme from
blueheronz , who gave me the actors listed below.
Comment with "I want" and I will give you ten actors and ten actresses. Then post in your LJ with your favourite films of theirs.
Sam Rockwell - I actually just watched Choke last night, and while he was really good in it, I can't really get past how much better the book was than the movie so I'm going to go with Galaxy Quest because while its certainly not Oscar material, I have a total childhood love for that movie, plus Alan Rickman is in it so it gets bonus points.
Johnny Depp - how can I pick only one?! Benny and Joon, Don Juan DeMarco, Chocolat, Finding Neverland, and of course the PotC movies are all faves of mine.... But if I had to pick an all time favorite I would have to pick Cry Baby, because I've loved it before I knew who Johnny Depp even was...
Peter Sarsgaard - An Education hands down.
James Spader - Does it say something about me if I say I can't decide between Secretary and Pretty In Pink?
Hugh Grant - I can't believe I'm going to put this out into the world, but I loved Music & Lyrics, I'm a big Drew Barrymore fan so that helped, but I thought that movie was super cute.
Benicio Del Toro - Sin City
Jack Nicholson - It's probably the cliche answer but I'm going to go with One Flew Over the Cockoo's Nest. It doesn't matter how many times I see it, every time it's on TV I watch it
Leonardo DiCaprio - I feel like I should pick a movie that won an Oscar since there are plenty of those to pick from in his resume, but I'm going to go with Catch Me If You Can, because its just a fun movie.
Russell Crowe - As a whole I find Russell Crowe to be annoying and pretentious, but even I can admit that A Beautiful Mind was an amazing movie.
Jimmy Stewart - Another really hard one. He's one of my all time favorite old Hollywood actors, but I'm going to have to go with Harvey, because who can reist a movie about an invisible 6 foot tall rabbit?
Maggie Gyllenhaal - It's a toss up between Donnie Darko and Stranger Than Fiction
Emily Mortimer - Lars and The Real Girl, such a quirky yet lovely film.
Dame Judi Dench - I mentioned Chocolat up with Johnny Depp, so I'll choose it for here
Judy Davis - Marie Antoinette, one of the most visually pleasing movies I've ever seen.
Gwyneth Paltrow - I'm not a huge Gwen fan, but I really enjoyed Running With Scissors
Melissa Leo - Hide and Seek
Helena Bonham-Carter - Big Fish. It's another movie I can watch over and over again never getting tired of, it's also another extremely visually pleasing film.
Olivia Williams - My first instinct is to say An Education again, because the movie is that good, then I want to say Dollhouse, because I LOVED that show and am still angry it got cancelled but that's cheating since it's TV, so I guess I'll go with my third choice and say Sixth Sense.
Jodie Foster - It's the obvious choice but I have to go with Silence of The Lambs
Katherine Hepburn - wow another tough one, she was in so many classics, but I'm going to have to pick A Philadelphia Story because with a dream team like her, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart you can't really get better than that.
