Whatever was it causing the sun to rise
so early, Aoi-sama damned it for its brightness.
Reclined upon his bed, hair curl'd to his eyes,
he placed a hand across his face and wished for darkness.
When at last he rose and glimpsed his likeness,
the mirror winked-a merry fiend-and oh, he swore,
that never again would anyone catch him cloakless.
For last night, he had gone without-what for?
He'd decided he'd not need the garment anymore:
He would wear high boots, pressed pants, and smart jackets,
All things easily purchased in every clothing store!
Without the cloak at his heel, they raised quite a racket.
Mikan shrieked, Kou-kun stared, Akai shook his head,
Murasaki laughed and Midori too-he'd rather be dead!
