Today I am incredibly angry for so many reasons. LGBT civil rights were stripped away from them because of a proposition that was funded mostly in part by a Utah based organization. The president of the LDS Church made sure that every member of his church would help fund this proposition. To this I say, keep your money in your state. ( Read more... )

I was outraged and surprised to hear about prop 8. Outrageous that it even got so far as to get on the ballot.

I'm not sure why, but I just lost interest in writing my own posts quite a while ago. I do still read LJ though basically every day!

We're in Michigan now and I'm working from home - which is great. The second year of married life has been just as good as the first so far. :) And I've been getting all crafty and getting ready to list items on etsy.

Ha! That is crazy! I should have said the third year of marriage so far has been just as great as the first two. It's really great how I feel like Chris has always been there but at the same time it still has that great newness about it.

Amen. It was also heavily funded by Focus on the Family from Colorado.

The LDS church didn't even allow African Americans into the "Priesthood" until 1978!
