Ah!! Summer will soon be over. It's almost August. I feel like I haven't fully enjoyed summer yet.

Hmm, I'd like to do a survey. What are everyone's absolute musts or favorite things to do in the summer? Maybe I can jam pack some more stuff in yet.

I love camping. But now that I have a working firepit, it's too easy to just light'er up in the evening and then sleep in an actual bed.

I've always wanted to go house boating, but that takes planning and friends and stuff.

Road trips are always awesome in the summer. It doesn't matter where you go.

just being outside on nice days, not cooped up. riding bikes, reading in
grass, outdoor patios, festivals, going real slow. that's the key, slowness.
outdoor pools are also fun, especially waterslides. fast waterslides are the
exception to the slowness thing.

I like taking day trips to Banff or Lake Louise area and going on hikes. Bring a packed lunch and a book, and stop somewhere to sit and read and chat or whatever. However, I rarely actually ever do this.

I've always wanted to float down the Bow River but never have. I heard that is fun. You can bring food and beverages too, and enjoy a sunday afternoon or something.

I've been running a lot by the Bow River lately, sort of around Edworthy park (there are some cool hikes around there actually, across the bridge), or near Kensington. Not that you would necessarily have to be running, it is a nice area to walk and watch the water and the ducks and stuff too. And there is an ice cream place on Memorial trail near Edworthy park too...by Parkdale blvd or something.

Anyway, if you come up with any good ideas, let me know as well, as the fall depression is nearing.
