And I finally made a tutorial , it took me very long. O___O
It takes me not more than 5 minutes to make an icon but to explain it how it was very hard! I use so many layers ... LOL But let's start.
Attention please: these tutorials are for colors only,it's up to you adding brushes/textures (I often use the sharpen and the smudge tool). Keep in mind every cap is different so again you may need to change the inputs/ouputs and the values in the selective colors . So these tutorail are basically a base. I hope it would be useful to you anyway ;)
ETA : Sounds like some steps were missed , my bad :( I tried to check but I still didnt' get the problem . So I'm uploadign here the PSD format so you can be sure they works.

Go to your base layer duplicate it and drag it over the top .
Set it on soft light 35% opacity

Select all your layers , right click on the mouse - > Merge layers
You should have just one layer now ;)
