but, isn't it one thing to take a bath (or make a set in a bath) and enjoy it... and another thing to show it to anyone? just a thought i had just now :/
i don't quite understand the question or topic at hand.. exactly?
are you asking why i decided to post this set instead of keeping it to myself? or maybe.. didn't it disrupt the beauty of the bath by shooting it?
well.. 1. the photos aren't of me.. they're of a close friend of mine that came to visit in dc. so i mean.. it wasn't a truly intimate moment [i mean.. obviously it's set up .. considering the colour and props]
2. i hardly ever shoot something without the purpose [or urge] of showing it... somehow.. um. i wish i could have gallery space for people to see my work [a dream that will one day come to fruition i'm sure.. just not sure how soon and in what quality] .. but for now i have my laptop .. a printer.. and a livejournal. ha. sounds so pitiful.
3. do you mean.. that once it's shown to people that it's kind of .. in a way cheap? or pornographic?
mm. i love the discussion... really, i do.. don't think in any way i'm offended or being defensive.. i love dialogue.. just not quite sure what you mean.
but yeah, although it's a creative idea, i do think it's a little cheap in a way. (not to put down an idea,) but just, that's how it seemed to me when i checked out my friends list earlier.
sorry for being a downer. lately, i've been like that for some reason.
i really thought similar things while i was trying to put them in an order i liked.. i almost didn't post the 5th one.. [the full body horizontal] because.. i thought it was too literal.. and not as concerned with beauty and shape.. like the vertical back shot [which i love] i eventually left it on the set [obviously].. because i guess it narrated the scene pretty well.. and i liked how the leg was kind of stunted.. and disappeared as the blue fought the colour of her skin.
do you think it would have been stronger.. without that one all together? [if so.. i might have to agree with you] or would you still have the same feelings about it either way?
