One
They were sitting side by side on the couch, quietly reading their own books when Inoo sighed loudly and shouted, “Ah~ I’m bored!”
He looked to his side, only to see Keito still immersed with his book, not noticing Inoo’s exclamation at all. Frustrated, he poked Keito’s sides until the younger boy started to laugh, dropping his book.
“Keito~ I’m bored~ entertain me~” Inoo whined.
Sighing, Keito asked, “What should I do?”
“Hm.” Inoo tapped his chin, thinking. Suddenly, his eyes lit up like a thousand bright stars, a big mischievous grin tugging at his lips. “I want…you to sing me a Justin Bieber song,” he beamed.
“What? Why?” Keito looked at him, incredulous.
“Just because~ now, c’mon! Make me happy or I’ll turn into a menstruating bitch,” Inoo threatened.
Once again, Keito sighed, thinking: It’s a good thing I love you, or else I would’ve kicked your ass like I did to Hikaru.
Coughing to get his voice in tune, Keito started belting out the lyrics to Favorite Girl.
I’ve always known you were the best/ The coolest girl I know/ So prettier than all the rest/ The star of my show.
“Wait!” Inoo yelled, stopping Keito mid song. “Dance as well!”
“What am I? Your monkey?”
“Yes, you are. Now, dance!” Inoo demanded, clapping his hands. “And do it like Justin does!”
Keito got up grudgingly and picked up where he left off, dancing as well.
My favorite, my favorite, my favorite, my favorite girl, my favorite girl.
When Keito finished the song, he slumped on the couch, and snuggled beside Inoo, burying his face in the older boy’s chest in embarrassment. “Don’t you ever make me do that again.”
Ignoring his boyfriend, Inoo asked, “Am I really your favorite girl? But that’s a little impossible isn’t it? I’m a boy.”
Lifting his head up, he looked at Inoo, answering, “A girl or a boy, you’re still my favorite,” before hiding his redder face from the chuckling Inoo.

Keito was sitting on his bed, headphones on, listening to some rock music and scribbling in his book when Inoo came bouncing in.
“Hey, Keito,” he greeted, taking off the item on Keito’s head and pecking his cheek. “I brought lunch,” he smiled, holding up a bento.
The younger boy eyed Inoo curiously as he set up the food on Keito’s study table. Inoo couldn’t even hold a spatula right and he thinks that a whisk is a fairy wand for goodness sakes, so he couldn’t have possibly made that lunch box; even if he did, Keito wouldn’t want to know what the content was.
“Okay, Inoo. Spit it out, what do you want?”
Inoo turned around to face Keito. “What so ever are you talking about?” he said, batting his eyelashes, trying to look innocent. “Can’t I visit my boyfriend and feed him the lunch I made with my own bare hands? Is that such a bad thing?”
“First, it doesn’t make you look innocent when you bat your eyelashes like that. It just makes you seem more suspicious and-so incredibly weird. Second, Inoo, you can’t even turn on the stove without running away because of the tiny fire. So what’s the deal? What do you really want?”
Sighing, Inoo put down the chopstick in his hand. “Okay, you caught me. The truth is, I miss listening to your voice.” He fiddled with his fingers, looking down at his shoes in embarrassment.
Keito got up from his bed and hugged the older boy. “Awe, why didn’t you say so?”
“Then, will you sing me something?” Inoo looked at him with hopeful eyes when Keito released himself from the embrace.
“Sure, anything you want,” Keito grinned.
“Sing me ‘Bigger’ by Justin Bieber.” Inoo smiled so wide, it looked painful.
As soon as those words left those pink lips, the grin on Keito’s face was wiped away. “I told you not to make me sing his songs again!”
“But you said you would sing me anything!”
“Not his songs. It’s embarrassing!”
“Awe, c’mon! No one will see! It’s only the two of us here.” Inoo pouted. “If you don’t sing, I’ll force that horrible thing I cooked down your throat.”
Keito looked at the bento on the table that had already started to smell a little and mumbled some incoherent things under his breath. In between gritted teeth, he said, “Okay, fine. Go sit on the bed.”
Inoo gladly leaped to the bed happily, sitting cross legged on it while Keito stood in front of him, singing the song he requested.
I was a player when I was little/But I’m bigger/I’m bigger/A heartbreaker when I was little/But I’m bigger/I’m bigger.
And our haters I swear they look so small from up here/Cause we’re bigger/And love’s bigger/I’m bigger and you’re bigger.
“Happy now?” Keito grumbled unhappily, creeping up beside Inoo when it was over.
“Yes, very.” Inoo smiled, patting Keito’s head. Then suddenly, an idea hit him. “You know, Keito, you are bigger, and I’m not just talking mental wise, but also physical wise, if, you know what I mean,” he said in a seducing tone, winking at Keito.
It didn’t take long for Keito to process what Inoo had said, so he immediately pinned the boy down under him, punishing Inoo for making him sing another Justin Bieber song.

“Hey Keito, you’re his boyfriend, why don’t you go console him?” Yabu begged after he, and several other members, failed at cheering up the crying Inoo.
“Because I know what he’ll ask me to do.” Keito groaned and got up from his seat, walking towards Inoo when Yabu threw him a questioning look. “Just watch.”
Keito crouched down to Inoo’s level, who was currently hugging his knees; bawling his eyes out. “What do I have to do to make you happy again?” he asked, even though he clearly knew the answer.
Inoo looked up for a moment, eyes red and puffy. “Sing,” he answered, before ducking his head away again.
“Justin Bieber?”
The older boy nodded.
Getting up, Keito turned around, facing the other members who seemed so fascinated at his and Inoo’s exchanges. “I swear, if you guys laugh, I’m going punch every one of you till you all bleed. These muscles aren’t just for displaying, you know,” he warned them.
Once he was satisfied with the scared look on their faces, he turned back to Inoo, who was still sobbing quietly and hiding his face. Taking a deep breath, he sang out the words.
Your lips, my biggest weakness/Shouldn’t have let you know/I’m always gonna do what they say.
If you need me/I’ll come running/From a thousand miles away/When you smile, I smile/Oh whoa/You smile I smile.
Slowly, Inoo’s head began to show, only the sound of sniffles heard.
And I'm willing and I'm able/But I fold to your wish/Cause it's my command/Hey hey hey/You smile I smile.
“So, Inoo-chan, please smi-” Keito wanted to plead, but before he could even finish his sentence, he was tackled to the ground, a thousand kisses being planted on his face.
“Have I ever told you I love you? If I haven’t, I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you!” Inoo screamed repeatedly, beaming.
Keito chuckled. “Only one Justin Bieber song can make you that happy?”
“But of course, you should know me by now,” Inoo grinned. He stopped paying attention to Keito for a moment and looked up at the other members. Seeing their facial expressions, he whispered to Keito and got off the younger boy.
Keito got up, and turned to them, seeing them stifle their laughter. He was about to yell at everyone when Yamada couldn’t control himself and burst out laughing.
“Yamada...” Keito said in a dangerous tone.
“Uh-oh.” Yamada ran as fast as he could, outside of the room, while Keito chased him, leaving the other members, including Inoo, laughing their heads off.

“Please, if not for me, do it for the kids, please Keito~” Inoo requested.
“Out of all the people, why me? Why do I have to sing his song again?”
“Because I asked the kids to vote and the majority liked you, so…”
“Don’t lie. Nobody even notices me. I bet you were the one who shouted out loud that I’d do it without even asking me first.”
Inoo fidgeted and blushed, evidence that what Keito had just said was true. “Hehe~ but you’d do anything for me, right?”
“Yeah ,yeah. Why do kindergarten kids have a dance in the first place? They’re just kids.”
“Awe, c’mon, it’s cute. Now let’s go, before we’re late.”
It didn’t take long for them to reach the kindergarten and when they arrived, Keito was surprised at how large it was. It even had a gym, where the dance was held.
One of the teachers, whom Inoo had been working part-time with, greeted them with a thousand watt smile. She ushered them towards the stage, facing thousands of children in mini tuxedos and pretty little dresses. Surprisingly, they weren’t the obnoxious types; they listened to Inoo carefully and kept quiet (probably because most of them were rich kids and had learnt about manners.).
“Hello, everyone! If you haven’t met me yet over the pass two weeks then I’ll introduce myself. My name is Inoo Kei and this is my friend, Okamoto Keito. He will be singing First Dance for you tonight by non-other than Justin Bieber.”
At the mention of the Canadian's name, the gym erupted with cheers.
Wow, the dude must be really popular amongst little kids. Then why the hell does Inoo like him? Keito thought, wanting to facepalm at his boyfriend’s childishness.
“Keito, sing. Look, the kids are ready,” Inoo whispered.
Keito looked at the crowd in front of him. Boys and girls were paired up together; some were in a group, holding hands with their friends, smiling and giggling, and at the very moment, something touched Keito’s heart.
The music in the background began to play, commanding Keito to start singing.
Only if you give, give the first dance to me/Girl I promise I'll be gentle/I know we gotta do it slowly/If you give, give the first dance to me/I'm gonna' cherish every moment/'Cuz it only happens once, once in a lifetime.
At the corner of the stage, Inoo watched Keito, a small smile playing at his lips, admiring from afar, wishing that he could give his first dance to Keito.
His wish was granted when the performance was over. They were walking around the gym, pointing and laughing at the kids when a small boy came up to Inoo.
“Onii-chan! Onii-chan! Why don’t you go and dance with your boyfriend?”
Inoo was surprised. “My b-boyfriend? He’s just a fr-”
“Oh don’t give me that. Just because I’m five doesn’t mean I can’t see what’s going on.”
The two friends stared at each other and gaped. Keito wanted to partly strangle the kid and partly hug him for reasons even he couldn’t comprehend.
“Now, c’mon. Get to the middle of the dance floor. My whole class and I will sing the same song. Go!” He tried his best to push the two grown teenagers.
When Inoo saw the boy and his friends go up to the stage, he smiled, wanting to cry of happiness.
“Well, I guess there’s no choice,” Keito said. “May I have this dance, my princess?” He bowed, holding out his hand.
“Of course,” Inoo answered, grabbing the hand. Together, they moved swiftly on the dance floor and it became the most joyful night Inoo Kei has ever experienced.
Five
On the night before his birthday, Inoo had asked Keito to sing him his favorite song from Justin Bieber during work the next day.
So when he got into the dressing room, he didn’t expect to see this.
This meaning Keito dressed up in a purple t-shirt, his hair dyed brown and smoothed down, just like Justin’s.
At first glance, Inoo thought it was the real Bieber. “Kyaa~ It’s Justin Bie-Keito?”
“Yeah, it’s me,” Keito coughed, trying to cover his embarrassment and keep it cool.
Inoo laughed. “Why are you dressed up like that? I just asked you to sing a song like I always do. You didn’t have to go that far.”
“Well, I thought I’d try something a little different. It is your birthday after all.”
“Awe, you’re so sweet.” Inoo walked towards the younger boy and hugged him, stroking his hair. “How’d you get your hair so soft?” he asked, pulling away.
“Takaki helped me. He was so frustrated that he broke down. I had to call Yabu to comfort him. In the end, we made it. But to be honest, I don’t even know how the Justin dude keeps his hair like that. I had to phone Takaki again this morning to adjust it.”
“I can imagine him like that.” Inoo giggled. “I liked your hair just the way it was, so change it back, okay?”
“I’d change it back without you asking me to.” Keito grinned lopsidedly. “But for now, I’ll keep it this way for this show.”
“What show?” Inoo asked, confused. His question was answered when the lights to the dressing room were turned off, a spotlight, from where, Inoo didn’t know, shone on Keito. Suddenly, the music for Baby blasted through the room.
Oh whoa Oh whoa Oh whoa/You know you love me, I know you care/Just shout whenever, And I'll be there/You are my love, you are my heart/And we will never ever-ever be apart.
Are we an item? Girl quit playing/"We're just friends"/What are you sayin?/ Said there’s another and looked right in my eyes/My first love broke my heart for the first time.
While Keito sang, he danced and jumped all around Inoo, grabbing and touching him every now and then, the spotlight following him everywhere. Inoo’s cheeks began to turn pink as his heart beat faster.
And I was like/Baby, baby, baby ooh/Like baby, baby, baby noo/Like baby, baby, baby ooh/Thought you'd always be mine, mine.
For you, I would have done what ever/And I just cant believe we ain't together/And I wanna play it cool, but I'm losing you/I'll buy you anything, I’ll buy you any ring/And I'm in pieces, baby fix me/And just shake me til' you wake me from this bad dream/I'm going down, down, down, down/And I just can't believe, my first love won't be around.
And I was like/Baby, baby, baby ooh/Like baby, baby, baby noo/Like baby, baby, baby ooh/Thought you'd always be mine, mine.
Unexpectedly, Hikaru came out of nowhere, now two spotlights shone on both of them. Inoo laughed as Hikaru rapped in broken English.
HikaLuda, when I was thirteen, I had my first love/There was nobody that compared to my baby/And nobody came between us/Or could ever come above/She had me going crazy/Oh I was star struck/She woke me up daily/Don't need no Starbucks.
Both of them continued the song, dancing in random directions, making Inoo hurt his stomach from all the laughter. When it ended, Inoo hugged them both.
“Thank you. This is the best birthday gift ever.”
“Oh this isn’t the birthday gift,” Hikaru stated.
“What? There’s more?” Inoo questioned, looking at Hikaru with unbelievable eyes.
Suddenly, a bunch of different voices were heard singing happy birthday and a few candles seen, lighting up the dark room.
The candles, Inoo saw later, were attached to a big strawberry cake, enough for all of them to share.
“Make a wish, Inoo,” Keito said, squeezing his hand.
Inoo closed his eyes, happy tears rolling down his cheeks, wishing moments like these and friends like them would stay forever, before blowing out the candles.
