New TSCC Fanvideo: Like John

This is my first John/Cameron video, but I've been making fan-videos for over two years now. I started this one back before season 1 of TSCC ended and picked it back up about two weeks ago. The idea behind it is a little out there, but it just kind of slithered into my head and stuck there.

OMG. I was just rewatching this when I realized that the username looked awfully familiar...hee.

Anyway. I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved the idea of this vid. The presentation was a little weird at parts, possibly because of the huge difference between Firefly and SCC in terms of footage and plot, so the flow was a bit odd, but the concept was total love. And the extra ending bit? Most excellent.

Now I want, like, crossover fic to this.

Thank you! ^_^ That video was my baby for a while. I worked really hard on it. The flow IS a little odd (partially because of show differences, I think and partially because I started it back before season one ended, dropped it and then started it again once season 2 started).

I'm glad you liked the concept. :) That was the part that was itching in my brain to get out. I've tried starting a crossover fic, actually, (though only like a one-shot or maybe a two-shot, nothing long), but I couldn't wrap my head around trying to write this combined River/very emotional Cameron without it coming out in a way that sounded wrong. But I'll surely come back again and again and if I should ever get it right, I'll post in in my LJ here (or a link to FanFiction.Net at least).

I would love to read that. I don't know how it would translate from a vid to text, but I'd be all over that.

Also: I meant to say. Song choice? Winner. It totally helped to smooth over the choppier bits and make the whole thing come together in my head.

Thank you. :) I think the song choice was what inspired the idea, actually. I started it before season 1 ended (around the week that "Vick's Chip" premiered, I think)and then worked on it for a few weeks, got distracted by other fandoms and then picked it up after season 2 started. (Which is one reason it looks so different between the first verse and the rest, because of the gap.)
