SO I went for a little run this morning.
Couple miles.
At first I was sooo tired cause it's been a few weeks since I've gone for a run. I got so sick for a while and then it was like a week before Nigel left so I didn't want to go running.
But after like the first mile I felt great.
I was listening to my mp3 player.
Oh yeah
Here we go

Mile 10
Lets do it again
Lets do it again
That one really did it for me. I was running faster for that one than all the others.
I'm still pretty out of shape so I didn't want to run the whole time. I ran to every other cadence. And I ran double time, listening to the footfalls of the Marines in the recordings. I also sang along. I don't think I looked too wierd. I had a Marines shirt on and I was staring straight ahead the whole time.
In between running I just walked at a fast pace to keep my heart rate up.
It makes me feel a little closer to him to run to the same things he might be running to. Of course, I won't hear all the profanity and there aren't any real DIs screaming or anything. And I can stop any time.
But anyway. I liked my route. I'm gonna try to go out at least 3 times a week. And I want to build up so that I can run the whole route, then I will make it bigger.
I should call up Nigel's uncle Tom and his wife and see if I can go with them, if they're still going. I went with them and Nigel a couple times before he left.
It's so great. Nigel has always been so inspired by his two Marine uncles.
And now they're inspired by him. They're so proud. And so is Nigel. He told them that they'll be his uncles and his brothers now. That's just so great. And they're both trying to get in shape since they've been seeing him train to go these last 3 months.
I'm so proud of my man. I can't wait until I get a letter so I can tell him again.
