Congratulations, America. You made it to Election Day without killing each other. I'm proud of you. It sounds silly, but the tension between Republicans and Democrats, neighbours and family members made the news even here on the other side of the world. It's all because, despite having no say in who will be the next President of the United States, ( Read more... )

I would love it if Obama and Rudd became BFF.

Where's the best place for coverage, do you think? What websites? I think SBS is starting TV coverage from 1.30pm, but I'll be out then. Radio National had some stuff when I was driving this morning but I don't know if they're continuing the election programming plus I can't find it on my stereo tuner. I just want to know as soon as it's known, you know?

I'm watching through ABC (US) here at work. CNN if you can get it to work is also a good place. www.fivethirtyeight.com is where I've been following along.

My darling Angela.... FUCKIN YAS!

I've been watching all night, calling American friends and family (very drunkingly I might add) and am celebrating with a very large bottle of whisky.

This is not only a historic event to witness... it's somewhat of a rebirth of common sense in America.

The live show on the Beeb was brilliant, with every Republican in severe denial, spitting the dummy out until they realised with 20 mins to go it was over...

And then John Stewarts show provided even more brilliant entertainment throughout.

Aweomse.

I could not be happier if I had a team of Chinese ladyslaves offering to give me oral pleasures.

Here's hoping that Obama and the Dems who will have a majority in both houses of congress will fix the things that got broken in the last 8 or so years.
