Beth, I was thinking of you a lot this past week. There was a camper at camp named John Peck who lives in Houghton, right by the academy (I guess his dad works for the college). He is a really cool kid in my opinion--tons of fun--and he reminded me of you. Maybe partly just because he lives in Houghton, but not just that. He was a very excited sort of person, about life and the good things to be found in it. He was rarely at the center of everything, but typically seemed to enjoy many things that were going on. And if he didn't enjoy them, he just wandered a bit on his own, discovering new things to be excited about or just entertaining himself. All of the other kids seemed to like him, and he probably could easily have become a leader in his cabin, but just preferred to sit back a little bit and live his life at camp without needed others to boost his ego and tell him that was ok. Plus i just liked him and we got along very well
