Discussion one: The inappropriateness of giving a professor chocolat for VD to begin with.
- Factor one: Gender of the one who is giving said chocolat. Does it make a difference whether it is a male or a female.
Scenario one: Male student - By tradition, this is the day that males present females with chocolat, usually to express a feeling of affection. The term itself is up for discussion, but it is a general assumption that love is involved. And that along could put into question student/teacher conduct and appropriateness in a school setting.
Scenario two: Female student - Traditional aspects aside, should a female student present their female professor a token of affections, it is generally not as off putting and more socially acceptable. Why that is has yet to be determined beyond the general views of the sexes. and would probably make this reply longer than it already is- Factor two: Familiarity between professor and students. Personalities and preferences vary from teacher to teacher, as I would assume it does from student ( ... )
