My Grams

Today marks 34 years since my Grams died.  I was five.  I remember my dad telling me.  He took me for a ride in the car.  We got home, and were talking in the driveway.  He told me "Grams died yesterday".  My whole body was paralyzed.  I still remember the  feeling.  Like...numb.  I thought "I can't move.  I should get out of the car and go inside ( Read more... )

Thanks for sharing this. Not at all long and definitely not boring.

It is interesting you mention the part of bringing the towel in with you. I do the same thing, but not because of your grandmother of course! However, I do it for the same reason: the air behind the shower curtain is warmer because of the heat transferrence from the hot water. So I do most of my drying before I get out of the shower. I really don't know from where I learned this.

It is nice to know from whom you learned certain things. Those things hold more importance as a result.

Wow, you know so much more about your grandmother than I know about either of mine. She lives on in your memory. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. It wasn't boring at all.
