I think where music is such a personal thing, sometimes you need to take a step back from certain artists due the memories attached. For example, after a rather bad break up where we listened to Guns N Roses ALOT, it was years until I could listen to them fully again.
Another example is an ex of mine said when things are bad between him and I (we're still friends) that he can't listen to U2 because he reminds him of me too much despite the fact that he ADORES that band and it was how we met.
But that's good you're going back and rediscovering the music.

Yeah, I think so too. I still associate one or two songs with the person. :/ Hopefully that will go away in time too. It's so weird how we associate people with certain music, scents, ideas- I wonder why the mind does that. :s
