I just read the whole thing. Welcome back to livejournal (though I can't really say that because I didn't know you before, really, sorta)
I'll comment in order or try to...
1) Congrats on the job and boo to the lay off. I don't think you understood me yesturday...I need your last name to recommend you lol. So tell me what it is because I don't really know.
2) New experiences can be fun, as long as everything is safe, etc. :)
3) Troy sounds, and seems like a cool guy. I met him breifly as you know, but it was too brief. You sound really happy with him and as long as you're happy I'm happy.
