I got my lip pierced today after school. The experience was generally a nice and simple one. Allie came home with me on the bus, and we had long conversations about drugs and *boy* and other such things. We waited for our bus...it passed us. Hey there Nerdstrom its 3:30am and I just got home from work and i can not write you the e-mail for I have to work in 7 1/2 hours again, but I'm leaving this message to let you know that I can't wait for our night tomorrow with our movie, snacks, and cuddling by the fire and under the stars. Why is it the wish of every LJ user to describe the banalities of their every day lives to strangers? Do you people really think that anyone honestly cares about what you thought about when your lip was getting pierced? Or how good or bad your high was? Don't even get me started on you people glamorizing drugs that seriously fuck you over, and what's with this lame poetic verbal diarrhea. Rhyming today with today 4 times is not poetry. It's hackneyed and trite and it no one who can look past themselves really cares much. How are you going to be anything more than a pile of dust after you're dead if you do exactly what millions of other bland, predictable youths are doing? I didn't write this to make you feel like a human turd, this isn't even personal. This message is directed at every overweight, underweight, over medicated, under medicated, boring, whiny and spoiled kid in North America. Oh and don't credit this to Chris, he couldn't write for his fucking life.

I'd prefer to keep this reply to the point as to not humor the situation. First of all, it takes no balls to send an anonymous comment like that with the purpose to, in reality, humiliate and belittle another person. I state your intentions in this manner because it is contradictory for you to send criticism in those terms without demonstrating your own good will; in fact you aren't setting a better example either. basically, you don't coincide with what you say; your actions are instead contradictory to the self righteous mask you've decided to present. I won't take your position either, to tell you how to act or who to lecture would be doing the exact same thing, but allow me to give you a little piece of advice: social cliches like "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all" exist not for shits and giggles, but because they actually hold relevance to social etiquette.
