I was hoping to take the kids to this .... now I must rethink it. I will have to wait until it's out on DVD then, I have way too many other summer movies I want to watch at the theater.

Hey, don't let me stop you from trying. After all, you're talking to the person who was hooked on the Discovery Channel by the time they were five. I don't know your kids, but I do know that some very mature ones may enjoy it no matter how young they are. ;)

Ok, my kids (all of them) have seen the Star Wars movies and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Compared to that? What do you think? My sister was going to take our 7 year old to see it for his birthday. He saw Revenge of the Sith in the theater, Lord of the Rings when he was 4 . . .

I can't wait to see it. It looks so cute.

Oh yeah, you shouldn't have any problem. I'm mostly concerned about kids who know nothing about the references and may be a bit bored, since a lot of the humorous parts feature the references. It's adorable anyway, it just may be a little over their heads in places (not to say that there aren't any cute little places that even a 2 year old would crack up at). A lot of the kids in the theater liked most of it, even if some of them went "Huh? What?" in places. It really depends on the kid.

I actually saw some parents leaving and smiled smugly on the inside.

*shakes head sadly* What do you have against innocent, wonderful little children? XD

I don't want to give anything else away, because I'm going to FIND YOU if you don't see this yourself.

*cowers* Okay, jeez. ;) Though I think I'm going to be arm-twisted into watching Hancock. (What?) Don't worry, I'll be making a lot of bad, dirty jokes to make up for it. XD

But they're not innocent, they're evil devil spawn from the depths of Hades lair where they were created with sugar and spice and fried pigskins of DEATH! *cough**snortle**choke* Hairball. XD

Hancock...I kind of wanted to see it, but now it just makes me think of not-so-kid-friendly things. Hancock? What kind of mother names her son that? Does she even know what he'll endure because of it when he goes to school with his brother Titus and his sister Vajayjah?

*dies*

I know, seriously. You have to wonder about some parents. Some names, in general, should not be used. Ever.

I've always wondered about the nickname 'Dick' -- I mean, I know it's really just a nickname, but if I was male I would never, ever let my friends call me 'Dick'. No. Just no.

Funny thing is, I've always (childishly) snickered at the name 'Rodney'. IT'S JUST TOO EASY.

You know the country is going downhill when the administration consists of Bush, Dick and Colon. XD

The name Atticus (from To Kill A Mockingbird) has always made me snicker. It sounds profane is a kind of vague way. If I ever wanted devil spawn, I would torture them by naming them things like Archimedes, Abacus, and Cummington. XD
