So, I love school. My classes are completely worth the 20,485 hours of homework and conference work, I think. The campus is lovely, and New York City is amazing

I don't think anyone has really made really really strong, close friends yet. And I agree with your statement- school has been stellar, but would be exponentially more stellar with this factor.
You'll find a nice group of friends at the end of either the fall or spring semester, and then half of them will transfer to different schools and you will hardly ever see them again, or you'll make a bunch of friends at the end of the spring semester and then come home for 3 months.

this is why i watch Friends. they are my real friends.
My first semester I found myself just walking up to random people who didn't look like they already had an established circle and introducing myself. Those friendships didn't last very long, but they tided me over until i found the right circle. Doesn't really reflect on my friendship habits positively though...

of course, seems like boots don't matter anymore sense there's the internet...
*sigh* oh for the day i spent 125 bucks on five rare CD-Rs, not knowing what they were. "eric, why are these cds BLUE on the back!?"
