So, I love school. My classes are completely worth the 20,485 hours of homework and conference work, I think. The campus is lovely, and New York City is amazing ( Read more... )

I don't think anyone has really made really really strong, close friends yet. And I agree with your statement- school has been stellar, but would be exponentially more stellar with this factor.

I wouldn't worry about it- just takes time.

Are you coming home for fall break by chance?

No, I'm not coming home. My fall break is only 2 days+the weekend. When is yours?

You'll find a nice group of friends at the end of either the fall or spring semester, and then half of them will transfer to different schools and you will hardly ever see them again, or you'll make a bunch of friends at the end of the spring semester and then come home for 3 months.

it's scientific fact.

this is why i watch Friends. they are my real friends.

by the way, i haven't talked to you in forever.

we should talk sometime. it'll be fun!!!!!!1

My first semester I found myself just walking up to random people who didn't look like they already had an established circle and introducing myself. Those friendships didn't last very long, but they tided me over until i found the right circle.
Doesn't really reflect on my friendship habits positively though...
