[Marceline's been making her way across Goldenrod, getting to know the terrain, finding all the cool hangout spots. Sir Battington her Zubat, is generally out with her, and today he spots the Arcanine and flies over there, trainer following suit.]

Oh wow. Hey there big guy. [Reaching up to pet the Pokémon, she doesn't even notice Hayate standing there.]

--ah! Miss, wait a second--!

*Said Arcanine immediately gives Marceline a questioning glare as she reaches to pet her. Partly due to calling her big guy, but more due to her general distaste for girls.

Though whether or not a big lion-dog glaring at her is enough to stop her from trying to pet regardless is another thing entirely.*

[Not enough to stop her know, she places a hand on the Arcanine's fur, but glances in Hayate's direction when she hears him.]

Huh?

H-Hina doesn't really like being pet by strangers--!

*As indicated by the Arcanine still giving her a flat glare.*

Oh. Hey, sorry about that.

[She pulls her hand back, and actually looks up at the Arcanine then and frowns. She was just trying to be friendly.]

It's a very majestic monster.

I-It's fine! I'm sure she doesn't actually mind all that much... *Placing a hand on her mane and petting her a bit so she settles down with a small huff of flame from her mouth. Lion-dog loves the compliments, so that helped.*

She is, isn't she? *ruffle ruffle* It's just that she's more than a tad over protective of me...

Protective huh? So she wouldn't like if I did this!

[With seemingly no sense of self preservation she jumps toward Hayate putting on a scary face and making supposedly scary noises.]

--GAH!! *JUMPING BACK SLIGHTLY-- And Hina is letting out a low growl as she watches that, letting out a small huff of flames.* W-W-What?! W-What was that for?! A-Are you trying to make her angry...?!

[She steps back a little and laughs.]

Ha ha Sorry I just-- whoa!

She can breathe fire!? That's pretty math.

Action;

Math...? Y-Yeah. Spitting out and using fire in general is her specialty.

That and biting.

Action;

Biting's pretty fun. So this would make her a...fire type then?

[She's only recently learned about types.]

Yup! She's an Arcanine, one of the strongest pure fire types there is!

... though, um... I wouldn't exactly qualify biting as fun.
