*Today at the Violet City Inn: There is a butler in your room.*

*Yes, your room. Hopefully you were out and about at the time and not hilariously in the bathroom when he knocked and let himself in-- But the door to your room is currently wide open and somewhere in it is a butler humming the town music to himself as he tidies up the place

[Unfortunately for both of them Bridget is taking a bubble bath when Hayate enters the room. Bridget doesn't think anything of it, assuming it's Kirsten or Jango. . .any of the party he's journeying with.]

*Unfortunately indeed, as Hayate is completely missing any signs of someone in the bathroom, and setting right to work on cleaning up the beds.*

[Splash]

Did you forget something. . Jango. . .[Silence]

. . .Gene. . .?

*Wait was that a splash and-- that kind of sounded like a girl in the bathroom oh shit oh shit.*

A-aaa... Time to slip out undetected... *... after I finish making this bed.*

Clearly the bed is more important XD

[On the bed is a Teddiursa curled up next to a Hoppip and Cleffa. They don't intend to move from their nap.]

*Oh man that's just not fair it would be like waking up a super content puppy.*

Ha... haaa.... Maybe it's a sign I should get while the getting is good? *His natural priorities be damned, he shall be trying to quiiiietly slip out past the bathroom door unnoticed.*

[Bridget steps out of the bath and gets closer to the door. Which is CLOSED. He wonders if whichever of his friends it is didn't hear him earlier.]

Are you okay? Did you forget something?

*jumping at Bridget's voice, before staying silence for a moment and coming up with a CLEVER PLAN to avoid exposure!*

Hop... hoppip~

Oh, do you want to take a bath too, Hoppip?

[Bridget opens the door a crack, expecting the Hoppip at his feet. He's puzzled to not see him there, unaware of Hayate a few steps away.]

[combat_butler]

*CRITICAL FAILURE!!! Pressing against the wall to slowly inch his way toward the hotel room door now in a way that would make Old Snake proud, keeping hope alive that the one bathing will remain in the bathroom.*

[Bridget opens the door, wearing a towel around him, covering him from the chest to his upper thighs. The door also swings against the wall, possibly helping Hayate in his super fail stealth mode.]

Eh?

[The boy notices that his Hoppip and the rest of his pokemon are sleeping on the bed. Save for his Gastly who was haunting over his shoulder while he was bathing (what a creeper).]

*He almost lets out a surprised yell at that door swinging open all the way, but he holds it in and decides NOW IS THE TIME FOR ACTION!!*

*Which is to say, Hayate is bravely diving out in the door into the hall and rolling out of direct view from inside the room!!1 ... though this does leave the problem of the door still wide open.*

[And now Bridget is left wondering why the door is open.

. . .and covering himself up EVEN THOUGH HE'S WEARING A TOWEL and he realizes that someone really WAS in the room and oh god. He slams the door shut and locks it and looks around the room to make sure whoever was in there isn't hiding SOMEWHERE.]
