You can be sad, but ya shouldn't think it's because you had a good time on your birthday. It's not like the universe is out to punish you.

Well... there's nothing wrong with a keepsake to remember someone by, right?

Ah, no, of course not... I have one or two of those already. It's just... It wouldn't be proper to look in her diary, right...? That's like... a golden rule boys should never break.

Her... diary...? Is it like a record of some sort?

Mm... Yeah. It's like... a log book. Where someone writes down personal things every so often, or even each day...

More often it's Pokemon they leave behind, not items... But it sometimes happens. This is the first for me though... It kind of caught me off guard.

A-Ah... I'm not particularly either of those things... I mean, I've had a few Pokemon left for me, but never personal belongings... Beatrice-san left me something, sure, but that wasn't... exactly the same.

*A sigh.*

If I had to guess, it would be something like that... I'm sure a few people who have been here longer prepare that kind of thing. Or maybe you just get a feeling that you're leaving soon, so you immediately think of who you want to have things...?

That's Sisuca's ... [ Becomes a little sad. She recognized the hat. She was really gone ... it was still a little hard to believe. ]

She left me ... one of her Pokemon too ... [ Promising to herself that she will take care of him. ]

Hayate? Her being gone ... it isn't your fault. She would have want you to know that.

You are her ... a son to her. She would never have left you those just for you to feel sad. Sisuca probably just wanted you ... to remember her.

[ At the mention of his birthday --- she was very surprised. ]

Oh my, did I miss your birthday as well?

Ah... I-It's not like I could forget her or anything! I remember everyone who leaves. Even if it's... kind of hard to acknowledge them being gone. Doubly so when I don't have anything to remember them by but the memories... Still, the timing just... feels like a bad joke. Her leaving while I'm off having a good time...

Even if you can't wear the hat, you can still keep it, right? I mean, it's something to remember them by!

[ But where to keep it... ]

Hmm...I know~ Maybe you can frame it and put it on your wall!

Ahaha... While it's a nice idea, Miss... I think that would work a bit better if I actually had a place to call home.

You can probably move it around with you from place to place. But if not, then....put it on your backpack, if you have one?

[ Just use a small frame; it will totally work. ]

Mmm... It might be easier to just carry it in there as it is... A frame would be dangerous to have in there if I ever get in trouble. Or maybe I can consider renting a place in the future, since I've more or less stopped traveling...
