This belongs on a much earlier entry but you wouldn't notice it if it were so far down.

American politics aren't fucked up. Politics are fucked up. Anywhere you have people in power, you have corruption. I'm tempted to speculate (without any real evidence to back it up) that in Europe corruption is MORE legion, because you have, with the exception of, say, Sweden, MORE government.

We are not living in a uniquely fucked up period in history, as much as it is cool to think that. Everybody secretly wants to be there when Rome burns. But the truth is we're not unique, we are just in a world with other humans, and that implies a certain amount of duplicitousness and shitty dealings.

Sho nuff politics are always jacked, although I wouldn't go so far to say the majority of Europe is more jacked up. Even if their politics are as corrupt, at least they are not corrupt in the favor of insane evangelist christians who can't speak the language proper.

There is ALWAYS shit to complain about, thank god.
