You could always put his name on a piece of paper, rubber-band it to the flowers, and then stomp on them. Hey, it was your birthday flowers, you can do with them whatever you wish.

yeah, the pizza helped. a friend came over with ice cream later on, took the flowers from me and left them somewhere on my street so i didn't have to look at them on my way to work in the morning....
