Well-rested Madness

Dec 18, 2009 00:31

After weeks of feeling tired, I had to pay the price this week: I was sniffly and headachy. So this morning I decided against going to the Leiden uni library, and stayed home instead. In bed.

I slept until 1 pm and it felt bloody fantastic. I haven't felt this good in weeks!!! That was a Good Decision.

Later, I found out that it would've been ( Read more... )

Lol, actually I had to eat my own words today, because I missed my train home. It was *drumroll* on time, whereas the subway that was supposed to get me to the station wasn't. The one time you want a train to be delayed...

Glad you're feeling somewhat better, though.

Lol, awesome exams answers. :D

That's always the case, isn't it? You want it to be a minute late and you run and rush... and it drives off right in front of your nose. The principle of the complaint is sound, though: the bloody trains never ever behave the way you'd want them to! Hope you got home at a reasonable time anyway...
I'm about to check the Dutch rail-website before going off to work. I'm trembling with nervous anticipation of what I might find.

I'm almost surprised they didn't mention bowling alleys... (God, that was terrible. xD)

How's your head?

I think I've gone to the place "beyond surprise". I can't believe the stuff they come up with but I've come to accept that some people are just quite silly. I need to ask K if some of "us" (as in, not you & me, lol) ever came up with answers of this degree of stupidity in our cultural studies exams!

My head's ok. Well, it's silly, but that's its default state. I'm still sniffly but I haven't got a headache anymore... so I'm at work again. Urgh.

Bahahaha well... some people did. At some point we had this running gag about Gordon Brown, and at the exam, every time Timo didn't know an answer he just wrote down "Gordon Brown". (I won't mention the time he wrote down at a lit exam that "An Horation Ode" was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber... xD)

Hence, when we were watching Eggheads...
Dermot: "Which British monarch-"
Timo: "Gordon Brown!"

Did you enjoy Up? I was a blubbering mess during that opening sequence (and when he goes through the scrapbook later on).

Awwww so was I.... but it was a GOOD kind of blubbering mess, if you get my meaning. Sometimes it's just good to be moved so much by something. I'd seen stills from Up! and wondered how they were going to make such a grumpy old man a character you could relate to, but they succeeded within a few minutes. Very well done, I thought.

I also loved Kevin.
