She's in her room - where else would she be? Guinevere's tapestry is finished - or almost. She's cutting little strings that are batting away, closing her eyes.

She feels sad, still. Broken, still.

Lonely. Always lonely, and abandoned, further more.

The whole winter without her lover, or almost all of it... it's a long time to wait, and she has...

Doubts.

He pauses at the door, listening, sensing. Feeling her pain, and he closes his eyes briefly before lifting his hand to knock once, twice. He could just go in, of course, but...

He wants, needs her to welcome him.

Guinevere's head snaps up - no-one ever comes, no-one every knocks. Who could it be?

And there's a twinge of irrational hope in her heart that makes her come hurriedly to the door, to open it.

"... Sebastian."

She's.... surprised.

She didn't expect him anymore.

He looks at her, his eyes wide open, open to her, as always. He can see and feel the surprise at once, and almost flinches, because of course - he's been too long away. But how could he risk coming back too soon, how could he...

"Guinevere," he says, quietly, after a moment. "Will you let me come in?"
