John Fields? I know you're dreadfully busy, what with your new job at the Pentamerone and all, but could I ask you a question pertaining a possible side-job?
Bless you, John! It's just that I'm starting my Lenten Quilting Circle and Book Club, and although I'd normally have my quilt frame upstairs where it belongs, the majority of the women coming have bad hips and really can't make it up there, so I need someone to help me take it downstairs and set it up. I'll compensate, of course, as I usually do -- just tell me what you want for dinner, and I'll make it when you come over.

Just tell me when you're available. I'm sure that your job has you quite busy!
Oh, I couldn't go asking for any sort of compensation just for doing a little carrying! But if there happens to be some of your famous meatloaf on the go, I don't reckon I could bring myself to say no to a slice or two.
I can come down and get you all set up later on tonight, if it isn't a trouble.
Consider it in the oven, John, along with some German potato salad and peas. And thank you for saying you'll probably be down tonight, as I would've gone and taken my evening pills a little earlier than I should've.
